The boat pauses for lunch at 1:30 pm. The meal is made aboard the boat. In fact, you can decide whether to have the boat docked or sail along. The Alleppey backwater cruise then begins its trip an hour later, at 2:30 pm. Tea and snacks are served around 4 o'clock as the houseboat continues to cruise. To get a firsthand look at living in the countryside, you can also visit a nearby property. You can eat this inside, on the upper deck or in the lounge. Due to Alleppey's prohibition on houseboat operation after 5:30 p.m., the houseboat arrives at the sunset spot at that time before coming to a stop for the evening. The tourists may unwind on the sun deck or approach the banks by foot. At 8 o'clock, the houseboat crew starts providing dinner. For all meals, expect to eat regional cuisine, where a complete sadya (thaali) is offered with a variety of genuine foods. After dinner, you can go to bed. The opulent houseboat resumes cruising around 7:30 the following morning. Breakfast is served later, and at 8:30 am the trip comes to a conclusion. 9 am is the check-out time.
