We had the worst possible experience on this houseboat, and this left a bad taste to our entire Kerala holiday. The room that we were given smelled of the gutter and feces. We complained but nothing was done about it. Since it was a houseboat, we could not even leave. We were forced to spend the entire night in the room and it was suffocating. Moreover the food served was very ordinary and no effort had been made to make it interesting. Even the water bottles supplied had been refilled. All in all not at all worth the price and the hype.
Booking this houseboat turned out to be a nightmare. After we checked into the boat and the same started moving our room was filled with the smell of the sewer and feces. We brought this to the notice of the staff but they did nothing about it. We were forced to spend the night in this room, it was like hell. Left such a bad taste to our entire Kerala holiday. Moreover the food served was nothing to write home about. If you are looking to get a Kerala experience here, you will be terribly disappointed.
The worst experience of my life. In all the years of traveling and staying in hotels, I have never had it so bad. Our room was stinking of feces and we informed the staff about the same, however nothing was done about it. We were forced to spend the entire night in that condition. Also the food served was vey ordinary and tasteless. I would not recommend this property to anyone.
