1) Which backwater is better to visit, Kumarakom or Alleppey? – Kerala.
Alleppey has numerous backwater canals, and guests can see and experience life on the side of paddy fields. Due to the difficulty of getting around, the chance to explore by boat is limited in Kumarakom.
2) Kumarakom to Alleppey distance by boat
You can take the Houseboat, or any other motor boat, across the Vemaband lake without any hitch. Since Vembanad Lake is shaped like an ellipse, travelling between Alleppey and other backwater villages that appear close on a map takes significantly longer than expected.
Alleppey to Kumarakom takes around 3 Hours by Boat.
3) What distinguishes Kumarakom?
Located on the eastern side of Vembanad Lake, Kumarakom is a cluster of small islands. The backwater vacation spot is characterized by a scenery of mangrove trees and coconut palms, as well as lagoons, coves, and a network of canals.
